I led this walk with 8 walking. 7 of us met at Shed by 8AM & from 8.06AM we walked down & across Verbrugghen St & then along paths through part of Melba, past Melba Copland College & under Copland Dr, & along a footpath up to the Evatt shops for coffee, & snacks at the Ruby’s Cafe & Bar.

We had been joined by a new starter James P at Melba. At Evatt we were joined by Bob S at 9.15AM. We then wound our way through the west side of Evatt and then down a nice track through Melba and back to the Shed car park by 10.04AM. The weather was warm and calm.

The route up through Evatt north of the St Monica’s Catholic Primary School in Evatt was nice and a great walk. It took us right from Copland Dr underpass up to Clancy St and to Evatt Shops. Similarly the walk down through from near Hancock St in Spence right to near Copland College near Verbrugghen St is a great walk.

It was an Easy-Medium social walk of 6.5Km, taking 1hr 58m incl the break

Walkers: Bob Salmond, James Pumidis, John Edge, John Marsh, Neville Viney, Peter Coppin, Tony Danaro, Greg Hutchison
