I led this walk with 3 walking. The 3 of us met at the Shed by 7.30AM. The day turned out to be mild and warm. It rained hard later this day the first significant rain for a long time.
We started walking at 7.41AM and we walked along the path adjacent to Ginninderra Ck next to Ginninderra Drive until we reached Charnwood whence we entered the shops off Tillyard Drive and stopped at Maccas for coffees and a soft serve. Whilst there Ted Tregillgas arrived for his usual $2 Maccas brekkie and we chatted with him for a while.
Leaving Charnwood we went north east up along a well know path for around 250m before we stopped and looked at the Boslem and Harte Park. Its a small 660sq m small community park that commemorates three children who lost there lives there in a house fire on 4 Jul 1994. They were Sidney & Zachary Boslem & McCauley Harte. We continued up the main path then turned south-east after 800m. We then took a path under Tillyard Drive and then past Herschell Cct where strangely enough is where Ted lives. We then crossed Kingsford Smith Drive past Melba Shops and to the Shed at 9.47AM.
Easy-Medium social walk of 6.2Km taking 2hrs 6m incl a break.
