2018 04 26 Goorooyaroo RAAF Memorial Majura Stone Wall with MelbaShed
I led this walk, with 5 of us walking . We drove to parking spot in Goorooyaroo NR along Horse Park Drive. Then we walked around part of the CCT to the Hughie Edwards Rest area & RAAF Memorial Grove viewing some of the plaques, appropriate around Anzac day. Then we continued under the Majura parkway & along the track to below Mt Majura then walked up a rough track to view the Majura Stone Wall. This was a MelbaShed walk

5 walked. 4 of us met at the Shed by 8AM and drove to parking spot along Horse Park Drive, where we met one more. Then from 8.35AM we walked around part of the Canberra Centennial Trail (CCT) to the Hughie Edwards Rest area & RAAF Memorial Grove viewing some of the plaques, appropriate around Anzac day. Then we continued under the Majura parkway & along the track to below Mt Majura then walked up a rough track to view the Majura Stone Wall. We finished by returning down to the track & walked around & back to Federal Highway & took an alternative underpass back through to the area opposite where we parked. We then had to walk across Horse Park Drive finishing about 11.50AM

Overall we walked about 3 hours 15 mins. It was a Medium walk, distance of 10.5Km, mostly on dirt management trails & some dirt foot pads, with a sharp climb over one hill and up the Stone Wall.
