I led this walk, with 8 of us walking around parts of Evatt, Spence & Melba in a nice circular fashion. We walked mainly on special lane ways & open areas within the suburbs. This was designed as a short easy summer walk & trying out the coffee culture at Evatt. This was a MelbaShed short walk

8 of us walked from the Shed through Melba playing fields, past Copland College under Copland Drive and up along a path through Evatt past Steve’s demolished house to the Powerhouse Expresso Cafe & Bar where John Edge bought some of us coffee. Thanks John.
Here we were entertained by some noisy cars, Luke’s expose on ID theft, some NBN thoughts & meeting Lucien the dog. We returned through Spence & Melba, around the Mt Rogers School & back to the Shed. Several NBN FTTN nodes were passed on our walk.
The walk was an Easy walk of distance of 6.9Km, mostly on footpaths & some grass tracks. We took around 2hrs 20mins, with about 30 mins included for the coffee break.
Walkers: Bob S, Colin Fitz, Drew McD, Tony D, Luke W, John E, John M, Greg H
